Your Complete Guide to Classic Automobiles

My ride 1972 351 2v ET 14.2 MPH 100

Here you will find, Your complete guide to Classic Automobiles. Classic automobiles represent the wonderful memories of years past that we cherish from the days of hopes, dreams and wonderment.

The picture to the left is of my 1969 Mustang which I purchased brand new from my employer, Millbury motor company for $2875.00 which was $50.00 over invoice.

This was the family car until I opened my first business, Shrewsbury Arco Service center in June of 1972 with my partner Ted Gulledge.

This car was transformed into a race only car at that time. It was run at New England Dragway, Lebanon Valley Dragway and Connecticut Dragway from 1969 (As a street car) until 1974 when I got licensed in my first Funny Car at New England Drag way.

We will be adding our favorite publications here from time to time, so check back often. Contact me with any comments.

How to Build Pro-Touring GM Street Machines

How to Build Pro-Touring GM Street Machines

GM's muscle cars of the '60s and '70s were great for their time - but what they did best was go in a straight line. Today's performance cars have it all though - speed, handling, and comfort. This book shows you how to build a Pro-Touring machine: a classic muscle car that accelerates, stops, corners, and rides like Detroit's best new high-performance cars. Author Tony E. Huntimer goes through a car's major systems - drivetrain, chassis, suspension, body, and interior - and shows you how to upgrade that classic muscle car to make it a modern performer. Electronic fuel injection, 6-speed trannies, better shocks and springs, modern seating and instruments, and subtle body mods are all covered, along with step-by-step how-to sequences on many key modifications. Classic muscle car looks, with modern muscle car performance - that's what Pro-Touring is all about!

Repairing and Restoring Classic Car Components

Repairing and Restoring Classic Car Components

Learn how to rescue, repair and restore old components - the knowledge you need to keep a restored car on the road, or to undertake a full rebuild. Unlike with modern cars, classic car hobbyists cannot simply throw away and replace parts when they break. This book will show you basic workshop techniques, such as welding, grinding, riveting and soldering. You'll also learn how to adapt new parts to fit old components, and perform repairs on door locks, fuel pumps, distributors, speedometers, and many other complex parts of your collector car. The authors tell you what jobs can be done with basic hand tools, what specialized equipment might be needed, and which jobs need to be sent out to a professional. Hardcover, 8-1/4' x 10-1/2', 176 pages, 250 color
